Terminology

The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and all Agreements: "Client", "You" and "Your" refers to you, the person accessing the Service and compliant with our terms and conditions. "The Company", "Ourselves", "We", "Our" and "Us", refers to Treefarm Studio LLC. "Party", "Parties", or "Us", refers to both the Client and ourselves.

Software License & Self-Hosting

Aspenside provides software, tooling, and local server integration capability.

  • **Self-Hosting**: You are solely responsible for self-hosting the Aspenside server and API endpoints. You control the deployment, maintenance, environment, security, and exposure of your server.

  • **Security & Network Configuration**: You acknowledge and agree that security tools (such as Tailscale, virtual private networks, firewall configurations, and local device authentication mechanisms) are configured, managed, and maintained solely at your own discretion and risk.

Terminal Connections & Remote Execution

Aspenside incorporates features enabling terminal connections, shell scripting, command-line operations, and remote execution of system-level instructions on your server.

  • **Inherent Risks**: You recognize that enabling, facilitating, or exposing these terminal features carries severe inherent security risks, including but not limited to Remote Code Execution (RCE), data destruction, server compromise, system hijacking, or unauthorized network expansion.

  • **User Responsibility**: You assume 100% of the risk and responsibility for invoking, hosting, securing, or utilizing these terminal capabilities. We are not responsible for any security flaws, misconfigurations, or credential compromises resulting in unauthorized access or commands run on your host systems.

You agree to protect and defend us against all claims arising from your use or installation of Aspenside.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THE SERVICE (INCLUDING THE WEBSITE, APPLICATIONS, AND ALL INCLUDED SOFTWARE) IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS, WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WE EXCLUDE ALL REPRESENTATIONS, WARRANTIES, AND CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE SERVICE AND THE USE OF THE SERVICE.
